Thankful Thursday

TGIT! Thank God it's Thursday! and with Thursday means another installment of Thankful Thursday. Grab the graphic and link up with me or Maddie or both of us and share what you are thankful for!

1) Early Valentine's Day Gifts

Seth and I are terrible about keeping secrets so when it comes to gifts it is rare that we hold out on telling each other about them until we give them. Earlier this week Seth told me what he got me for Valentine's Day and I'm so thankful for how thoughtful he is. He got us copies of the books For Men Only and For Women Only. These are books that were written to help people understand how the other sex thinks and responds to certain situations. (to read more about these books or to purchase them you can click on the images below)

Our plan is that I will read For Men Only first and underline things that apply to me and write any notes I have in the margins and vice-versa for Seth. That way when we read the books we will have even more of an insight on the thoughts and feelings of each other. I'm so excited and thankful that we are going to be going through these books together.

2) Free Food!

In my hometown of Columbia City, IN there is a Marcos Pizza opening up this Sunday. On Tuesday they came in to my place of work and asked if we would be willing to be one of their guinea pigs on Friday so the employees can have a practice run taking orders, making food, and doing deliveries. The best part of it all is that its absolutely free to us! I'm thankful for a new Pizza place in town and very thankful to get to try it out for FREE.

3)  Spending Time With My Family

I'm so thankful to have such a close knit family! I loved having almost all of my family under the same roof last Saturday for my nephew's birthday party. To see pictures from his Monster Party go here.  Just wish my sister Alyssa and her husband Bradley could have been there then it would have been perfect!

4) Blogging

I am so thankful that I have started this blog. Even if no one reads it, it is a great way to document my life and vent when I need to. Big shout out to Maddie for getting me hooked ;)

check out her blog here.

I'm really just thankful for the life that I have. Every day is a blessing and a gift. Hope you all take the time to reflect on what you are thankful for. Be blessed!

  1. You are so incredibly sweet Addie. I love blogging with you! I am so obsessed with Seth's Valentine's Day present to you. I love the idea of underlining things that stick out and writing notes along the margins. I think that is such a great idea! I hope you have a wonderful Thursday! :)

  2. I totally agree with you about your #4 - even if no one reads my blog, it's still so nice to be able to write freely about the things going on in my life. Especially things to be thankful for :) Thanks to you and Maddie for starting this uplifting series! I love it!

  4. That's such a neat idea of reading the opposite book first and underlining in it!! I read the "For Women Only" and loved it! & was shocked and amazed by a few things I learned about men... hahaha
