You are My Sunshine

The Moment you have all been waiting for (or at least my family who keep nagging about my lack of blogging lately.) Today I want to share the end results of My sister's (Anna and Amanda) and I's hard work on my other sister's (Alyssa's) Baby shower.

As I shared here Alyssa and her husband Bradley have decided not to find out the gender of their baby due in July. As soon as we knew the dates Alyssa would be home we started planning the perfect gender neutral shower. We landed on the theme "You are My Sunshine"; because of the bright colors and of course because Baby A is going to such a bright light in all of our lives.

Like most great party planning these days we went to Pinterest for support. We were not disappointed!

Follow Addie Hicks's board Baby Shower Ideas! on Pinterest.

So here it is:

To say the party was a success would be an understatement. Alyssa had so many of her friends and family show up and shower her with gifts and love for Baby A.

Sister Visit!

This past week my sister Alyssa was visiting from Washington. It was such a fabulous week spent with family and I wouldn't trade it for anything!

Alyssa and I at Kolt's Baseball Game

We went and watched my nephew Kolt's baseball game, although his team didn't win he had some really good hits and kept a good attitude the whole time.

Since Alyssa was staying at my Mom and Step-dad's house that is where we spent most of our time. We went swimming and took walks, and just enjoyed each other's company.

If you remember a couple weeks ago I shared that Alyssa is expecting her first baby in November. You can read all about that here. The Saturday before Alyssa left we had a baby shower celebrating little "Baby A".

Here is a preview of the shower, but I will be sharing all the details in a later post! Hope you all have a great day :)
